Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AuctionData Chrome extension and the website at auctiondata.app (collectively, the "Service"), operated by AuctionData ("we," "our," or "us"). By installing the extension, creating an account, or subscribing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Description of Service

AuctionData is a Chrome browser extension that reads publicly visible auction listing content on supported storage auction websites (LockerFox, StorageTreasures, StorageAuctions) and uses artificial intelligence to generate a score and analysis to help you evaluate auction units. The Service is provided for informational purposes only.

The scores and analyses produced by AuctionData are estimates, not guarantees. Actual auction outcomes depend on many factors outside our control. We do not guarantee profitability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.

3. Accounts

To access the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@auctiondata.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

Access to the full Service requires a paid subscription at $19.99 per month. Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled.

• Payment: Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal accessible within the extension. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then.
• Refunds: All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for partial months or unused subscription time. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@auctiondata.app within 7 days of the charge.
• Price changes: We reserve the right to change the subscription price at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice via email before any price change takes effect for existing subscribers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or automate requests to our backend API beyond normal extension use
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple users to access a single account
• Use the Service to gain an unfair competitive advantage through manipulation of auction platforms
• Attempt to circumvent subscription enforcement or access controls
• Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code into the Service
• Impersonate another person or entity

We reserve the right to terminate access for any user who violates these rules, without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

The AuctionData extension, website, logo, scoring algorithm, and all related content are owned by AuctionData and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension solely for your personal, non-commercial use while your subscription is active.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the Service.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers including Supabase (authentication), Stripe (payments), and OpenAI (AI analysis). Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or availability of third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY ANALYSIS OR SCORE IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. ANY FINANCIAL DECISIONS YOU MAKE BASED ON THE SERVICE ARE SOLELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL AUCTIONDATA, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST BIDS, OR ANY OTHER FINANCIAL LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AuctionData and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify subscribers of material changes via email. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AuctionData regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations.
